Next in importance to freedom and justice is popular education, without which neither freedom nor justice can be permanently maintained.

  1. Of course, being the person I am, I had to look up the term "popular education". In my research I came across a site for the Catalyst Centre.

Alas, I believe they are no more as the page was last updated in 2002. There are some interesting links, especially the stories at:
    http://www.catalystcentre.ca/Resources/tales.htm
I enjoyed "Fill It" and "The Tortoise Who Talked Too Much".

"Many people are probably doing popular education without knowing it. The name is really secondary. If the process is participatory, critical, and supports people in organizing to change their situation, it's popular education." Eduardo Baez

We need some here, especially now!
